Cruise recaps have a problem: the middle of the trip is open water, and most map tools draw it as a dead straight line. RouteFlick routes boat legs along real shipping lanes -- your ship rounds the headland, threads the strait and follows the coast the way it actually sailed. It even navigates rivers, so a Danube or Rhine cruise works too.

About this guide and its evidence

Published by RouteFlick, the maker of the product described here. This is first-party guidance, not an independent review.

Route previews are actual exports. An example route illustrates a workflow; it does not prove every feature or a competitor's output. Export speed depends on your device.

Creator workflow and comparison documentation reviewed October 5, 2026. Named vendor sources support the documented facts; this is not a purchased-plan test or an export-speed benchmark. Unknown specifications are marked as not verified. Confirm current terms before buying.

## Watch the result before you use it

This is a finished RouteFlick video for **Egypt Nile Odyssey**, not an illustration or simulated interface.

Cairo -> Giza -> Luxor -> Edfu -> Kom Ombo -> +1

**Real product, not a mockup.** This is the RouteFlick studio and export flow used to make the videos described in this guide.

## 1\. Add your ports in order

1. Start at your embarkation port and add each port of call.
2. Set every sea leg to Boat -- then open the stop editor and choose the cruise ship vehicle.
3. Flying in first? Make leg one a flight; the video tells the whole trip.

## 2\. Let the water do the work

The ocean is the star of a cruise video, so pick a style that flatters it: Vivid's teal-to-navy bathymetry makes coastlines glow, and the drifting cloud layer adds depth on the open-water stretches. The Flow camera -- following the route directly with smooth, restrained movement -- matches the feeling of being underway.

## 3\. Ports become moments

Attach photos to each port and they appear as the ship arrives: the excursion, the sail-away cocktail, the towel animal. Distance badges show the nautical miles adding up between stops (switch to km or hide them entirely in Design).

💡 River cruise? It just works -- add the river cities as stops with Boat legs and the route follows the actual river between them.

## 4\. Export and share

As many Full HD exports as you like, free; Pro unlocks 4K for the big screen at the reunion dinner. Vertical for Reels, widescreen for YouTube -- rendered on your device before the ship's wifi could have uploaded a single clip.

**Your route. Your preview. Your video.**

With free styles, cameras and sounds: as many Full HD (1080p) exports as you like, at 30 fps with a RouteFlick watermark, up to 10 stops per trip. No account or card required to create and export. Pro: up to 4K at 60 fps, watermark removal and GPX/KML/GeoJSON import. Available output depends on your plan, browser and device.
