**RouteFlick Editorial**Product guide from the team building RouteFlick

Route 66 is the road trip as mythology -- 2,400 miles, eight states, one diagonal. The map video's job is scale: no photo dump conveys a fifth of the country the way one line crossing it does. Here's how to build the definitive version.

About this guide and its evidence

Published by RouteFlick, the maker of the product described here. This is first-party guidance, not an independent review.

Route previews are actual exports. An example route illustrates a workflow; it does not prove every feature or a competitor's output. Export speed depends on your device.

Creator workflow and comparison documentation reviewed October 5, 2026. Named vendor sources support the documented facts; this is not a purchased-plan test or an export-speed benchmark. Unknown specifications are marked as not verified. Confirm current terms before buying.

## The routes

- The spine: Chicago -> St. Louis -> Oklahoma City -> Amarillo -> Albuquerque -> Flagstaff -> Santa Monica.
- The completist cut: add Tulsa, Tucumcari, Winslow and Seligman to pin the line closer to the historic alignment.
- The finale detour: Grand Canyon between Flagstaff and the coast -- most trips do it, the video should too.

## The Mother Road look

- Vintage style -- Route 66 is a postcard; grade it like one.
- Vehicle: motorbike for the rider's cut, car for the family one.
- Route colour: neon-diner red on Vintage's warm paper.
- Emoji labels: 🌆 🤠 🎈 🎡 -- city to cowboy to balloon to pier.

## Settings to copy

1. Miles on, always -- the climbing total is the entire emotional engine.
2. Speed 1.5x -- seven-plus stops across a continent needs momentum.
3. End on the Santa Monica Pier photo with a beat of extra dwell -- the ocean is the finish line.

💡 East-to-west is the canonical direction -- the video ends going into the sunset, which is not nothing.
