**RouteFlick Editorial**Product guide from the team building RouteFlick

Published July 20, 2026Updated October 5, 2026

A semester abroad produces two things in bulk: memories and weekend trips. The recap that does both justice isn't a photo dump -- it's a map. One flight arc from home to your host city, then a burst of little routes to everywhere the cheap flights and rail passes took you. Here's how to build it.

About this guide and its evidence

Published by RouteFlick, the maker of the product described here. This is first-party guidance, not an independent review.

Route previews are actual exports. An example route illustrates a workflow; it does not prove every feature or a competitor's output. Export speed depends on your device.

Creator workflow and comparison documentation reviewed October 5, 2026. Named vendor sources support the documented facts; this is not a purchased-plan test or an export-speed benchmark. Unknown specifications are marked as not verified. Confirm current terms before buying.

## The shape of a study abroad video

1. Stop one: your home city. Stop two: your host city, by flight -- the arc that started everything.
2. Then add the trips in order -- the weekend in Prague, the reading-week Portugal run, the friends-visiting Amsterdam weekend.
3. Title card: "Semester in Madrid - Spring 2026" with your university or program name as the subtitle.

💡 Rail-pass semester? Set the European legs to train -- the routes follow real rail lines and the video instantly reads as the interrail experience it was.

## Photos carry the feeling

Attach two or three photos per stop -- they appear as the camera arrives, polaroid-style. The first-day airport photo at your host city and the last-night group shot make natural bookends.

## Where to post it

Export vertical for the Instagram farewell post, widescreen for the family. It renders on your device in seconds -- free in HD, with as many exports as you like, so you can cut one version for friends and a calmer one for your parents.

Six months, one map, every trip. It's the video everyone from your program will ask for the link to.

**Your route. Your preview. Your video.**

With free styles, cameras and sounds: as many Full HD (1080p) exports as you like, at 30 fps with a RouteFlick watermark, up to 10 stops per trip. No account or card required to create and export. Pro: up to 4K at 60 fps, watermark removal and GPX/KML/GeoJSON import. Available output depends on your plan, browser and device.
