"Pack your bags" is good. Pressing play on a video where a glowing route draws itself across a globe from your home to Tokyo -- while they slowly realise what they're watching -- is better. A trip reveal video takes about ten minutes to make and produces the kind of reaction people film.

About this guide and its evidence

Published by RouteFlick, the maker of the product described here. This is first-party guidance, not an independent review.

Route previews are actual exports. An example route illustrates a workflow; it does not prove every feature or a competitor's output. Export speed depends on your device.

Creator workflow and comparison documentation reviewed October 5, 2026. Named vendor sources support the documented facts; this is not a purchased-plan test or an export-speed benchmark. Unknown specifications are marked as not verified. Confirm current terms before buying.

## The classic reveal

1. Two stops: home, and the surprise destination.
2. Pick the mode -- the flight arc builds suspense as it crosses the map.
3. Title card: their name and the date. "Sarah -- you're going to Japan - October 2026".
4. Add a photo of the destination at the arrival stop as the payoff.

## Multi-stop reveals

Honeymoon or anniversary itinerary? Let the route keep going -- each new stop lands as its own little gasp. A 40th-birthday Route 66 reveal or a three-island Greek surprise plays out one leg at a time.

💡 Set the speed control lower (0.5x) for a reveal -- the slow draw is the drama. And pick a soundtrack from the built-in library; the music makes the moment.

## How to spring it

- Cast it to the TV after dinner and hand over the remote.
- Send it as a message with no caption -- the confusion-to-joy arc is the point.
- For proposals-with-a-trip: end the title card with the question.
