Vietnam runs top to bottom, and every traveller does some version of the same spine -- which means the map video's variants are really about mode: bus, sleeper train, motorbike or flight, each telling a different version of the same 1,700-kilometre story.

About this guide and its evidence

Published by RouteFlick, the maker of the product described here. This is first-party guidance, not an independent review.

Route previews are actual exports. An example route illustrates a workflow; it does not prove every feature or a competitor's output. Export speed depends on your device.

Creator workflow and comparison documentation reviewed October 5, 2026. Named vendor sources support the documented facts; this is not a purchased-plan test or an export-speed benchmark. Unknown specifications are marked as not verified. Confirm current terms before buying.

## The routes

- The classic: Hanoi -> Ha Long Bay -> Hue (rail) -> Hoi An -> Ho Chi Minh City (flight).
- The motorbike version: the Hai Van Pass leg Hue -> Hoi An as a road leg with the motorbike vehicle -- the Top Gear route.
- The full-rail version: the Reunification Express end to end, every leg on the line.

## The look

- Vivid for the coast; Dark style with a gold route for the lantern-festival mood.
- The rail line hugs the coast -- the Hue->Da Nang stretch is the country's most scenic and the map shows why.
- Emoji labels: 🏮 🛶 🛵 🍜 -- Vietnam's icons are strong.
- Music: acoustic for the backpacker cut; the cinematic build for the full-country epic.

## Settings to copy

1. Speed 1.25x -- it's a long country; keep it moving.
2. Ha Long Bay gets the photo dwell; the karst shot is the thumbnail.
3. Add Siem Reap by flight as an epilogue if Angkor was the finale it usually is.

💡 North-to-south or south-to-north both work -- but ending in Ho Chi Minh City lets the video finish on the biggest city lights.
