The teardrop island of spice, tea and surf: coastal Colombo, the cultural capital of Kandy, hanging out the open doors of the iconic blue train through misty tea plantations to Ella, spotting leopards in Yala, surfing Mirissa beaches, and walking the Dutch fort walls in Galle.

The rail leg follows the actual mountain railway through the Nine Arch Bridge, recreating one of the world's most Instagrammable train journeys.
